This bold metallic magenta red has purple undertones. The magenta dye was developed in the late 19th century by European scientists. It was first used by European armies, who adopted the color for their uniforms. It is named after an Italian city in Lombardy where French troops in magenta uniforms were victorious.

The highly resistant dyes ensure your work can be washed at 30℃ without fear of the color fading or running.

It comes in 8-meter skeins and its six strands are easily separated. Add depth and fine detail to your work by varying the number of strands used.

Use it on its own or combined with cotton thread to add a touch of sparkle. For the best stitching experience, use shorter lengths <30cm to prevent fraying.
