Letistitch Cross Stitch Kit "Beach Bar" - LI 66-00

Summer at its most appealing is what this cheerful cross-stitch kit from Letistitch captures, based on an illustration by artist Lisa Alderson. The scene depicts a beach bar set up on a mint green vintage caravan, featuring a red and white striped awning, a wooden sign labeled "Strandbar," and a string of lights hanging between the posts. Refreshments, pastries, and a small decorative sailboat line the counter, while a lifebuoy and an "Ahoi" sign adorn the facade. In the foreground, a picnic table with drinks and a bouquet of yellow flowers, a red striped hammock, a blue parasol, surfboards leaning against an anchor-adorned post, and a pair of seagulls snooping on the sand. In the background, the sea in shades of blue and a sky dotted with clouds.

What makes this design special is the huge amount of narrative detail: every object in the scene tells a story, making the embroidery as enjoyable as browsing through an illustration. Buckets and spades on the sand, the chalkboard with the handwritten menu, or the beach toys are little rewards that appear as you progress. It is stitched on 16-count Aida with 100% cotton threads, and its 25 x 18 cm landscape format looks great framed in a kitchen, bathroom, or beach house. An intermediate-level project, perfect as a vacation memento or a gift for lovers of the sea and good weather.
