There is a moment, when you start with amigurumi, where you need to finish something — anything — so you don't give up halfway. This book is made for that moment. Twenty-five simple crochet animals that can be made in an afternoon and turn out perfectly the first time. Mariska Vos-Bolman (DIY Fluffies) is one of the most beloved amigurumi designers, and here she has brought together her easiest and most addictive work.

What you will crochet

Twenty-five mini animal amigurumis, all small and all fast. The complete collection makes a little crocheted zoo, perfect for adding new models to your repertoire and never repeating a gift.

Why "easy and fast" is no exaggeration

Because the shapes are deliberately simple and the instructions are explained step-by-step with photographs of each phase. The book also includes explanations for all the stitches you will need, so even if it is your first amigurumi, you have a place to start without looking for anything elsewhere.

They adapt to your taste

Each design can be modified by playing with the yarn weight: fine yarn and a small hook for mini keychain versions; thicker yarn for a plush doll with body. The same pattern gives you various sizes depending on what you are looking for.

Who it is for

For beginners who want immediate results, and for those who already crochet and are looking for small "snackable" projects — the kind for spare moments, the train ride, or the waiting room. They are the perfect gift for both children and adults, and work wonderfully as keychains or hanging from a backpack or bag.

An idea

Crochet a batch of five or six and keep them on hand. Class birthdays, secret Santa, and last-minute gifts stop being a problem for the whole year — and they are always well-received, because a handmade animal cannot be bought anywhere.
